Philip is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. In 2019, he was convicted on charges related to the operation of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities he owned. As a result, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

After sentencing, Philip’s legal team went through the clemency process, highlighting clear prosecutorial misconduct from the original trial. Philip was granted clemency.

Now Joe Biden’s DoJ is considering reprosecuting Philip, something that is unprecedented in American history.

The public should be very concerned when prosecutors — more interested in career advancement and political games — violate the law and pervert justice for those reasons
